November 15, 2019. The Russian Historical Society Branch Council met in the new building of the Russian National Library as part of the 7th All-Russian Forum of Public Libraries “The New Generation of Municipal Libraries: Regional View.” Director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky represented the Republic of Belarus at the meeting.
During the event, the Chairman of the Russian Historical Society, Sergei Naryshkin, presented the books about the Great Victory 1945 as part of the Presidential Historical Library project.
The book collection titled Victory (in Russian: Победа) was prepared in accordance with the order of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, under the auspices of the Russian Historical Society by the Eksmo-AST publishing group. The unique five-volume edition for the first time brings together works written and published directly during the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945).
At the end of the meeting, the five-volume Victory was donated to Russian and foreign libraries, including the National Library of Belarus.
