On September 1 it is the Knowledge Day, a holiday of flowers, smiles and joy because of the long-awaited meeting with classmates and favorite teachers after the summer.

Boys and girls returned to their classes, opened their exercise and text books. But not all pupils spent this day as usual.

The first lesson "2018 is the Year of Native Land"for the pupils of Minsk Gymnasium No. 1 named after F. Skarina became special, because it was held in the National Library of Belarus.

An important place in the heart of each of us is occupied by motherland, that corner, where you were born, where parents and friends live, where your home is. Children talked actively about their appreciation of the native land, reflected on its role in human life.

The lesson continued with an exciting excursion around the library building. The young guests visited the Book Museum and got acquainted with the "The Peoples of the World and Their Primers" exhibition, where there are presented various and unique versions of the very first literacy book.

At their first lesson in the National Library, the children received new knowledge, pleasant impressions and a charge of good mood for the whole school year.
