On August 24, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Makei met with Roman Motulsky, Director of the National Library of Belarus.

As it is reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, during the meeting Roman Motulsky donated the final part of the multi-volume facsimile edition "The Book Heritage of Francysk Skaryna" to the institution. The project is timed to the 500th anniversary of Belarusian printing.

The interlocutors stressed the importance of this initiative, which allowed to restore the heritage of Francysk Skaryna in the national and international cultural space, to make it accessible to a wide range of readers. The collection clearly demonstrates the richness and identity of the national culture, the deep roots of Belarusian book printing.

Roman Motulsky noted that with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the book heritage of Francysk Skaryna was presented in many countries, including Vatican, Great Britain, Italy, China, USA and France.
