On May 20th, in the gallery “Panorama” of the National Library of Belarus took place the opening ceremony of the painting and computer graphics exhibition “The cornflower in new format” timed to the International Children’s Day.
This is the joint project of the National Library of Belarus, the Administration of Education of Minsk Regional Executive Committee, and Minsk Regional Special Comprehensive Boarding-School for Hearing Impaired Children in Zhdanovochi village.
The exhibition presents works by attendants of the art studio "Cornflower" in the Boarding-School for Hearing Impaired Children.
Acting Director of the National Library of Belarus L.G. Kiryukhina welcomed the guests. Also at the event spoke: V.I. Gordynets, director of Minsk Regional Special Comprehensive Boarding-School for Hearing Impaired Children in Zhdanovochi village; N.E. Prokopovich, head of the art studio "Cornflower”; representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Minsk Regional Executive Committee Education Administration, Minsk Regional Committee of Belarusian Trade Union of Pedagogues and Research Workers, Belarusian Society of Deaf People, and the representative of the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots at the Embassy of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Belarus.
Guests of the event enjoyed a hand-language song by the music group “Krynychka” from Zhdanovichi Boarding-School, performances of the people’s pantomime theater “Rukh” and musical compositions by virtuoso musician Pavel Nevmerzhitsky.
The exhibition is open till June 3rd in the gallery “Panorama” (the indoor observation platform on the 22nd floor). Cost of entrance to the exhibition is included in cost of entrance to the Observation platform.
