On April 24, the library will host a seminar "Copyright: Legislative Norms and Practical Application in the Republic of Belarus", timed to the World Book and Copyright Day and the International Day of Intellectual Property.
The purpose of the seminar is to improve the professional competencies of employees of cultural and educational institutions in the field of intellectual property.
Heads and staff of the National Library of Belarus, the National Center for Intellectual Property, the National Center for Legislation and Legal Studies of the Republic of Belarus, the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Belarus, and representatives of the company "Antiplagiat" will take part in the seminar.
The event will consider the issues of preparation of amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Copyright and Related Rights", collective management of property rights in the Republic of Belarus, and legislative practice in the field of intellectual property. Within the framework of the seminar, the Internet service "Anti-plagiarism" will be presented, which is used in a number of organizations of the Republic of Belarus to check dissertations, abstracts and other text documents for plagiarisms.
