The ceremonial donation of the 20-volume publication was held by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Elena Kupchina.
The project on the reconstruction of Francysk Skaryna’s book heritage was implemented by joint efforts of the National Library of Belarus and the BelVEB Bank.
BelTA informs that the present was made at a celebration of the 500th anniversary of Belarusian book-printing, which took place at the Embassy of Belarus to Austria, on 10 November. The event was attended by representatives of the foreign policy department and the Economic Chamber, other public authorities and civil society organizations of Austria; the diplomatic corps, and also Belarusian residents in Austria.
Belaruskaya spadchyna, an art exhibition by Oleg Lukashevich and Alexander Alekseev, opened as part of the event. In the coming weeks, photography of the most significant objects of architectural and historical heritage of Belarus will be placed on the fence of the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Vienna. Photos are accompanied by explanatory texts in Belarusian, German, English and French.
