On January 23rd at the gallery “Labyrinth” in the National Library of Belarus took place the opening ceremony of the ХХ Anniversary gymnasium scientific-practical conference.
The event was prepared by F. Skaryna Gymnasium № 1 in Minsk.
Scientific-practical conferences on the basis of Gymnasium № 1, in which participate pupils of Minsk schools and gymnasiums, have been held since 1990. Within the framework of the actual conference, six sections on humanities have taken place. The competent jury includes professors and doctors of sciences of the biggest universities of Minsk.
Representatives of Minsk City Institute of Education and the educational department of the administration of Minsk Leninsky District participated in the opening ceremony. Director of F. Skaryna Gymnasium № 1 N.V. Bushnaya, head of the social and cultural center of National Library of Belarus S.I. Sheremetev, and professor of Belarusian State University, Doctor of Philology, Professor B.Y. Norman delivered the opening address.
Participants of the conference visited the Museum of a Book and saw the collection of rarities from the stocks of National Library of Belarus.
