The pre-holiday day at the National Library began with a concert: it's time to sum up the results of a professional mastery competition "The Best in Profession".
From the very morning, the energetic hosts Ekaterina Verezub and Anton Gud set the tone for the 10th anniversary award ceremony, which took place in an atmosphere of warmth and comfort. The best of the best were awarded honorary diplomas. The professional qualities of such employees enhance the prestige of the library business and, in particular, the National Library.
In nomination "For Successful Leadership" the winners are:
- Olga Bondarchuk, head of the social and marketing research section, the library science research department.
- Galina Buraya, deputy chief accountant at the sector of extra-budgetary accounting;
- Denis Voronko, head of the sector of storage and servicing of exposition materials, the gallery and exhibition activity department;
- Elena Kolomiets, head of the periodicals servicing sector, the specialized collections department;
- Alexander Senchuk, head of the building and equipment operation department;
- Galina Smolyago, head of the fund organization sector, the specialized collections storage department.
In nomination "The Best in Profession" diplomas went to:
- Tatyana Voronovich, chief librarian at the general services sector, the library services department;
- Gleb Gnevashev, leading electronic engineer at the system administration sector, the information-computer department;
- Ruslan Dolgiy, chief librarian at the section of monitoring, acquisition and dissemination of electronic information resources, the corporate interaction department;
- Alexander Kryshevich, technician at the building and equipment operation department;
- Tatyana Poprotskaya, head of the sector of prompt information sharing, the information and analytical department;
- Maria Shopina, chief librarian at the museum activity sector, the bibliology research department.
Ekaterina Bystrova, bibliographer at the sector of local history, the bibliography research department, won in nomination "The Best Young Specialist".
Tatyana Erokho, the chief bibliographer at the information and bibliographic service sector, the information and reference service department, was the best in nomination "For Contribution to the Development of Librarianship".
Nina Silich, head of the sector of publications release, the publishing department, won in nomination "For Fidelity and Devotion to the Profession".
The young specialist’s certificates were handed over to newcomers Darya Stolyar, Kirill Shulga, Vladislav Tseyko, Vadim Kulakov, Alexander Karpovich, Natalia Muzhilo, Natalia Maretskaya, Vanessa Karpova, Maxim Kasperovich, Vladislav Zaghay, Elizaveta Sirotkina and Alexandra Shpilevskaya.
During the breaks between awards, staff of the library enjoyed the performances of the violinist virtuoso Serzh Balton and choreographic show duet "Arbat". Natalia Zhivolkovskaya, head of the cultural activity sector, the cultural and entertainment activities department, sang a popular song. Young Maria Lyuzina, a pupil of the Center for Additional Education of Children and Youth "Art", performed an acrobatic show. The concluding chord of the concert was the performance of the ensemble "Verasy".
