The 15th Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the CIS member States, "Humanitarian cooperation: thirty-year’s experience and development prospects", was held in Tashkent on December 12-13.
Oksana Voronetskaya, head of the acquisition department of the National Library of Belarus, was a member of the delegation representing the Republic of Belarus.
The meeting was attended by leaders of ministries and departments, representatives of interstate organisations, international organisations, and public associations from the CIS countries.
Representatives of the library community from Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus paid a visit to the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi at the invitation of its Director General Umida Teshabaeva. During the visit, there was a lively discussion about the methodological, informational, and scientific advancement of libraries.
The forum was structured as a plenary session, general discussion session about the "Cultural Heritage of the Commonwealth Countries", discussion platforms about the "Scientific and Educational Community of the CIS Countries", "The Latest Cultural Code of the CIS: Vectors of Cooperation Development", "Literature of the Commonwealth Countries – New Integration Mechanisms", and "Youth Cooperation of the Commonwealth Countries".
During the forum, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the interstate “Stars of the Commonwealth” Award and the international Award “Commonwealth of Debuts” was held.
