On September 19, 2009, within the framework of celebration of the Day of Libraries a sport competition for workers of National Library of Belarus took place in the sport center “Olympiysky”.
Librarians participated in an amusing contest, drawing of a lottery, and sport competitions (football, volleyball and darts). Winners received prizes.
The sport holiday was a nice event that had reinforced the Library workers’ friendship and solidarity.

Chairman of the Primary Organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Union of Women" of the National Library of Belarus Natalia Esis took part in the Minsk city conference (19.04.2024) "At the front and in the rear: women of the Great Patriotic War", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."

On April 18, the students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National Library of Belarus as part of the environmental education and upbringing program. They got acquainted with the thematic book exhibition "Water is a wonderful gift of Nature" dedicated to World Water Day. The exposition is presented in the documents of international organizations reading room (room 207 g).
