On June 12th, 2010, the IV Summer Republican Sport Competitions for Cultural and Art Workers was held at the sports center “Olympiets” (Minsk region).
The sport competitions were held with the purpose to promote and develop physical trainings, sport, active leisure activities, the healthy lifestyle and friendship among cultural workers.
Sport teams of the Ministry of Culture lower organizations from Minsk and Belarusian regions took part in the event.
The combined team of the National Library of Belarus had passed the semi-final elimination contests among 14 republican lower organizations of the Ministry of Culture and won the 1st place in weight-lifting; the 2nd place in darts; the 4th place in table tennis and the 5th place in mini football.
In the final round the National Library of Belarus competed with 15 combined teams of Minsk and regional cultural administrations.
In personal championship, the Library won the 3rd place in athletics, the 4th place in weight-lifting and the 4th and the 6th places in darts.
Thus the combined team of the National Library of Belarus took the 10th team place. In team championship the Library won the 4th place in weight-lifting; the 4th place in darts; the 10th place in table tennis; the 11th place in football and the 13th place in volleyball.
A team of supporters arrived at the sport holiday along with the sportsmen. We are grateful to them for their support!
