On December 22nd, 2009, in National Library of Belarus within the framework of the professional contest “Brand of the Year” winners in the nomination of honor “Socially responsible brand – 2009” received rewards.
The nomination “Socially responsible brand – 2009” was established in 2005 by the contest organizational committee and the Initiative “For socially responsible business” with the support of the UNDP Office in Belarus within the framework of the professional contest “Brand of the Year” as part of the United Nations Global Compact Initiative.
During the current year, the winner companies have been carrying out charitable actions for environment protection, pursuing an active social policy in the field of human resources management, successfully fulfilling private and state partnership.
Belarusian Metallurgical Plant, British-American Tobacco Trading Company, Belagroprombanc, Savushkin Product Company, Milavitsa Trading Company and other companies are among the winners.
At the end of the event a press conference of heads of the winner companies was held.
