The practical seminar "Electronic Library System of the “Lan” Publishing House in Scientific and Educational Activity" was held on April 19 in the Library.
The event was organized by the National Library of Belarus in cooperation with OOO "The “Lan” Publishing House", one of the leading Russian companies specializing in the production of educational literature for universities, in the creation of a polythematic electronic library system focused on remote user access to educational and scientific literature.
During the event Yury Yelsky, Director of OOO “Lan-Trade” introduced the seminar participants to the electronic library system “Lan” with practical examples, its search capabilities and services for readers, librarians and teachers. There were presented the possibilities of EBS in inclusive education, the functional of the special service for the blind people in the mobile application of the EBS “Lan”, as well as the library cabinet and the reader services of the new Global F5 platform.
About 70 representatives of the scientific, educational and information community: teachers, researchers and students of leading universities of the country, specialists of libraries and information centers of various systems and departments took part in the seminar.
