Science and practical seminar "The electronic culture"

On 24th April, within the framework of the 20th Belarusian congress on technologies of information society, the science and practical seminar “The electronic culture” was held.

During the event reports on the problems of innovation development of cultural, research and educational institutions were presented. Participants of the seminar exchanged their experience in the field of use of information and communication technologies in the practice of modern libraries, museums and educational institutions. Advanced methods of informatizatin of cultural, research and educational institutions with potential users of information resources, virtual and multimedia services were considered.

First Deputy Director of the National Library of Belarus for research work and publishing activity Alexander Susha and leading researcher of the United Institute of Informatics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Victor Vengerov delivered welcoming speeches.

At the seminar spoke representatives of the Republican Center of National Cultures, the National Library of Belarus, the Central Scientific Library named after Y. Kolas of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Gomel Regional Universal Library named after V.I. Lenin, В.И. the Republican for Science and Technology, the national Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, museum “The Mir Palace Complex”, the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus, the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Nesvizh”, the International Business Alliance and the Belarusian State Academy of Music.

Listeners and participants of discussions represented the leading cultural institutions of the country: the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus, the Department on archives and record keeping of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, the Mogilev Regional Methodological Center of People’s Arts and Crafts and Cultural and Educational Activity, AGAT-SYSTEM, the management company of the holding “Communication and Management Systems”, INEAK Company, newspaper “Kultura”, the Presidential Library of the Republic of Belarus, regional libraries and many other institutions.
