On January 22, on the basis of the Fundamental Library of the Belarusian State University, an on-site practical training session was held for 40 librarians and bibliographers from different branches of the library.
Svetlana Kondratovich, the Chief Bibliographer of the Reference and Information Service Department of the National Library of Belarus, told her colleagues about fundamental rules, methodological solutions, and the practice of using sample document descriptions for bibliographic lists.
Colleagues from the BSU Fundamental Library noted the need to intensify work in this direction due to the growth of requests for help in compiling the bibliography from the university students and professors.
At the training, the BSU bibliographers updated their knowledge on the topic of the training, were able to ask their questions, analyzed special cases of bibliographic descriptions of rare publications and documents of international organizations.
The meeting and professional communication took place in a friendly working atmosphere to the mutual benefit of the bibliographers of our libraries.
