On March 24th, a practical seminar “The RFID-technology in libraries” was held at the press-center of the National Library of Belarus.
The seminar was arranged by the National Library of Belarus, Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems AG Company (Rotkreuz, Switzerland) and regional partner of Bibliotheca Company TekhAvtomatizacija LC (Minsk, Belarus).
The event gathered about 90 specialists from republican, regional and university libraries of Belarus.
The event format allowed participants to get acquainted with theoretical aspect of application of the RFID-technology in libraries, working international standards and ways of step-by-step introduction of the technology to libraries.
The RFID equipment was on display on an exhibition stand where participants had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with up-to-date hardware and software for library processes automation.
