The National Library of Belarus took part in 30th Minsk International Book Fair "The World of Books without Borders" on 22-26 March.

The exhibition "National Library of Belarus – to Favorite country" was presented at the Belarusian Book Festival. The exhibition includes 10 best facsimile projects of the library, awarded at national and international competitions; 10 books with gift signatures of outstanding Belarusians and messages to readers of all generations; 10 facsimile and gift editions of different cultures and peoples, reflecting the diversity of world heritage in the library's collection. The exhibition of the National Library aroused great interest among visitors of the Minsk International Book Exhibition-Fair, media representatives and honorary guests.

The book forum hosted a presentation of the publication "Natsionalnaia biblioteka Belarusi. 100 let" on 24 March. The photo album was published in the publishing house "Belarus" honoring the centenary of the library. The publication was awarded a first–degree diploma in the "Art–Book" category of the 62nd National Contest "The Art of Book", organized by the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus. The contest is held to determine the best publishing projects that have become an event in the native book publishing, improve the artistic and printing culture of Belarusian books, further develop of book art, and popularize the best achievements of publishing houses of the republic in 2022. This year, 30 publishers took part in the contest, presenting 150 books from 19 countries.

A particularly pleasant event for any library is the addition of a new collection of documents. Diplomatic representatives of the Embassies of the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Uzbekistan handed over rare publications to the “Diamond of the Knowledge” stock at the international exhibition–fair. Among the publications are works of outstanding, iconic personalities of foreign countries, art and historical literature, which is a valuable addition to the collection of the main library of the country.


Following the results of the 30th Minsk International Book Fair, the National Library received a diploma for its active participation and interesting exposition.

The ringed gallery of the 3rd floor of the National Library of Belarus is hosting the exhibition "Best Books of Belarus" on 28 March, an exhibition based on the results of the 62nd National Competition "The Art of Books", where everyone can get acquainted with the best publications of Belarus in 2022.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
