The National Library of Belarus hosted the closing event for the "Recall Everything. Remember Everyone" project on December 9, the International Day of Commemoration of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide, Honoring Their Dignity, and Preventing This Crime.

This project's goals are to preserve the memory of the genocide victims and communicate accurate knowledge about the genocide of the Belarusian people. Meetings with labour and educational collectives were hosted by Belarus throughout the year, and memory exercises and exhibitions were launched in educational facilities. Numerous commemorative activities were undertaken, including republican-level gatherings, forums for regional youth debate, a film competition, and the creation and implementation of trip routes.

The speeches of the head of the major department summarised the large-scale activity in the Year of Historical Memory at the conclusion event.

The following speakers summed up the results of the outgoing Year of Historical Memory: Olga Chemodanova, Head of the Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee; Oleg Lavruhyn, Prosecutor of the city of Minsk Sergei Kurakyn, Deputy Prosecutor of the city of Minsk; Igor Marzalyuk, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Education, Culture and Science of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus; Aleksei Talaya, Paralympic champion, public figure, Deputy Director General of the Agency “Minsk-News”, Kirill Kazakov, Editor-in-chief of the “Minsk Courier” newspaper. Speakers summed up the results of the outgoing year and shared the results of joint patriotic and educational events.

The winners of the video contest, which were created as part of the initiative "Recall everything. Remember Everyone", were announced in a solemn setting. A skilled jury selected the top video clips, which were then shown to the general public.

An award ceremony was given for the contestants in accordance with the findings of a review of exhibits about the extermination of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War that were opened as part of educational institutions. Visitors to the National Library were able to learn more about intriguing displays and the winning entries at a thematic exhibition created especially for the project's finale, "Recall everything. Remember Everyone".

The exhibition "Zhive pamizh nami dudar nash..." has been on display in the library since January 31. The exhibition is dedicated to the 215th anniversary of the birth of Vincent Dunin-Marcinkevich, a great Belarusian dramatist, poet, publicist, educator, translator, literary and public figure (1808–1884).
