The interregional session for directors of the library systems of the Brest region and the heads of Information and service departments of the central regional (urban) libraries “Promoting books in the digital transformation century” takes place in the premises of the Luninets district centralized library system between 9th–10th August.
The organizers are the administration on culture affairs of the Brest district executive committee, the Brest regional library named after M. Gorky.
The participants were introduced to the operation of public libraries of the Luninets district, and shared experience on how to arrange for library and information users service in the conditions of digital technologies.
The National library of Belarus was presented by the deputy director general – director of information resources and user service Viktar Pshybytka, who delivered a video thematic report “Public libraries of Belarus: from information to digital technologies”, and the head of Corporate interaction department Marina Rudakovskaya, who presented a report “Electronic resources of the Virtual reading hall of the National library of Belarus intended for the public libraries of the Brest region”.
