On June 12 the press center of the Press House hosted a press conference on the results of the 16th International “Art of the Book” contest of the CIS member states held on May 30–31 in Baku.
More than 80 publications from 7 countries: the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, and Turkmenistan were submitted to the 16th International “Art of the Book” contest.
The project of the National Library of Belarus, the “First Primer: facsimile edition: on the 400th anniversary of publication”, was highly appreciated by the competent jury and awarded the diploma “Pearl of Cultural Heritage”.
This year, Belarusian publishers have collected a collection of awards from the “Art of the Book” contest. In the 11 nominations, the books presented by the Republic of Belarus took 8 first places, 1 second place and 1 third place. In addition, 9 books were awarded special diplomas of the contest.
