Today the National Library of Belarus has become a platform for celebrating the national professional day, Libraries Day.

Prime minister of the Republic of Belarus Raman Halouchanka congratulated the country's librarians. The efforts of representatives of the library sector have been recognized with high awards.


The National Library of the Republic of Belarus has been awarded Diploma of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus for many years of fruitful work aimed at preserving and promoting national historical and cultural heritage and for the considerable contribution to the development of librarianship. Another valuable present on the occasion of the professional day was a certificate for 100 thousand rubles to purchase a planetary scanner for the National Electronic Library and the State Register of Book Monuments of the Republic of Belarus.
