On 8 February, a presentation of joint research and publishing projects of the National Library of Belarus and Belinvestbank was carried out in the framework of the 20th Minsk International Book Fair.
A number of good projects had been realized for three years of close interaction between the Library and the bank. The most impressive of them is the issue of three sets of calendars under the title "Remembering the past, moving into the future".
The set of calendars for 2013 tells the history of the Belarusian statehood and culture through the key monuments of national writing – inscriptions on Boris Stones and the Cross of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk, words in chronicles, legal acts and works of art, patriotic newspapers and revolutionary leaflets, handwritten and printed books.
During the presentation Deputy Director of the National Library of Belarus Alexander Susha made up a quiz among the audience. Those who answered questions got sets of calendars "Remembering the past, moving into the future".
The embodied project reflects the success of public-private partnership. This work is just the beginning in the strengthening of the Belarusian culture and to be the basis for new beginnings.
