On April 25, a presentation of the information resource “Belarus in the Information Space” of the virtual reading room of the National Library of Belarus was held at the Faculty of Information and Document Communications of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts.
The employees of the Corporate Interaction Departmentof the National Library of Belarus Vyacheslav Brichkovsky and Lyubov Danilenko presented the capabilities of the resource as a navigator for the most authoritative Belarusian electronic information resources, objectively reflecting the life of our country. Future librarians were familiarized with the structure and content of the site. A section that provides links to information resources of libraries and museums, as well as a calendar of major international events in Belarus in 2019 attracted special attention.
The presentation was attended by 12 volunteers of the 2nd European Games, who were interested at the section “For guests and participants of the 2nd European Games”.
After the presentation listeners could exchange their opinions about the prospects for the development of the resource, the possibilities of its use in the educational process, research and volunteer work. The discussion was attended by Professor of the Department of Library and Information Activities of the Faculty of Information and Document Communications, Valentina Saitova, and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Information Resources and Communications, Svetlana Malanukhina.
