On September 18, 2009, the presentation and handing of the books published with the support of the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund (IHCF) was held in National Library of Belarus.
National Library of Belarus has received new materials: collected works by classical Russian poets and writers by A.S. Pushkin and N.V. Gogol, collected works by Ch. T. Aitmatov, DVD “Our Classics” which included movies produced in the CIS member states between the 1920th and the 1990th , collected poesies by young poets from the CIS member states, album by peoples’ artist of Moldova M. Greku (1916–1998), as well as publications dedicated to the culture of Belarus (a book on Belarusian folklore and literary monuments and new edition of a book dedicated to the eminent Belarusian artist of the 19th century Napoleon Orda). Part of the book collection is to be handed to other Belarusian libraries.
Acting director of the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund T.E. Bubnova, director of “Hudozhestvennaya Literatura” publishing house, academician of Academy of Russian Philology G.V. Pryakhin, chief of the Administration of cultural institutions and folk art of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus N.P. Avdeeva, director of Y. Kolas and Y. Kupala Institute of Language and Literature of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of philology, Professor A.A. Lukashanets, and one of compilers of the book on Belarusian folklore and literature, Doctor of Philology, Professor I.V. Saverchenko participated in the event.
All presented publications were displayed at a book exhibition.
