Presentation and handing of books issued with the support of the IHCF

On September 18, 2009, at 4 p.m. in the gallery “Labyrinth” of National Library of Belarus takes place the presentation and handing of books issued with the support of the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund (IHCF).


A.S. Pushkin’s collected poems published in both Russian and Tajik languages; Ch. T. Aitmatov’s   collected works (including the last novel by the author published in his lifetime), an album by peoples’ artist of Moldova M. Greku (1916–1998), DVD “Our Classics” including movies produced in the CIS member states between the 1920th and the 1990th and other editions will be presented to visitors’ attention.

Guests of the event will see as well a book series “Classical Literature of the CIS” which includes four books dedicated to folklore and literary monuments of the CIS member states: Azerbaijan, Moldova, Uzbekistan, and Belarus.

All presentation publications will be handed to National Library of Belarus.

Students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National library

On April 18, the students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National Library of Belarus as part of the environmental education and upbringing program. They got acquainted with the thematic book exhibition "Water is a wonderful gift of Nature" dedicated to World Water Day. The exposition is presented in the documents of international organizations reading room (room 207 g).

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
