On July 15th, at 5 p.m. at the gallery “Panorama” of the National Library of Belarus takes place the opening of the exhibition of popular Belarusian painter Aleksey Kuzmich.
The works by the artist, academician of the International Cyril and Methodius Academy of Slavic Education, are full of a profound philosophical insight reflecting such philosophical questions as the human’s mission in life, the moral imperative, the sanctity of motherhood. The artist aspires to incarnate his concept of harmony through the image of the woman’s beauty. The all-embracing image of a woman, combining the mundane and the sublime, – is Aleksey Kuzmich’s Madonna. Hundreds of images of her reflect the terrestrial mother, the mother of mankind and the Goddess of the Universe.
One of the painter’s crucial themes is the existence and the unity of Slavonic peoples. He has a single concept of the historical Russia which is the integral component of his Fatherland – Belarus. The cycle of his works is dedicated to this theme.
Representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, the International Cyril and Methodius Academy of Slavic Education and the National Library of Belarus will participate in the opening ceremony.
The exhibition runs up to August 31st at the gallery “Panorama” (the indoor observation platform on the 22nd floor). Entrance to the Observation platform is paid, including the cost of the exhibition.
