On June 28, the Planeta children's recreation camp, located in a picturesque site of Minsk Region, hosted an on-site virtual teaching tour. The event was part of the National Library’s project The Outstanding People of the Motherland.
The vacationers made a virtual tour to the National Library of Belarus and watched a showcase of the life and work of the classic of Belarusian literature, Uladzimir Karatkevich.
Also the boys and girls performed creative tasks, guessed a quiz and enjoyed the animated film The Tale of Bygone Years about the coats of arms of Minsk and the city of Rogachev, where the writer's ancestors had lived.
The National Library prepared a traveling book exhibition, which included the books of Uladzimir Karatkevich, as well as publications about the cities of Minsk, Rogachev, and Orsha, where writer Uladzimir Karatkevich was born.
At the end of the event, the kids received souvenirs.
