The National Library of Belarus presents a new Internet project  the website “Underground and Partisan Press of Belarus”. This year we celebrate 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War and the project marks its anticipation.

The resource is a constantly updated electronic library of documents created by underground and partisan units. The information sources are the collections of the National Library of Belarus, the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War and the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus.

The website has about 100 types of newspapers with more than 1,000 issues, about 150 leaflets and manuscript materials. The documents are of great interest to researchers, allow you to study the history of the partisan movement in Belarus, the life of the country in the occupied territory. Any reader will be able to see with his own eyes the indisputable evidence of history and take a  part in replenishing the collection with electronic copies of military documents from personal archives.

The virtual project “Underground and Partisan Press of Belarus” will recreate and preserve the history of the nationwide feat, as well as bring a wide audience to it.
