On September 16, on the eve of National Unity Day, the National Library was visited by students of the Minsk State College of Engineering and Construction Technologies.

An excursion from the cycle "Outstanding People of the Motherland" was held for them on the theme "We remember your pain and your losses, Belarus ..." (based on the works of the period of the Great Patriotic War by A. Kuleshov, M. Tank, P. Panchenko).

The heritage of each of the famous Belarusians chosen by the tourists is in the list of the most significant achievements of the national book culture. The acquaintance with the biography of famous countrymen helps to feel proud of our Homeland and realize the peculiarity of Belarusians among the peoples of the world.

As a part of the excursion, the students got acquainted with the main events in the life of the masters of the word, some unique documents from the collections of the National Library, including pictorial documents related to the theme of the Great Patriotic War: photographs, postcards, posters, battle sheets, reproductions of paintings, facsimile editions of front-line newspapers.
