The National Library of Belarus will present a rich program at the Minsk International Book Fair which will take place from February 28 to March 4. There will be presentations, activities for children, unique books.

We invite you in the central area of the National stand of Belarus on February 28 at 15:15, where the presentation of the "500 years of Belarusian Book-Printing: Results and Achievements" with the participation of Roman Motulsky, director of the National Library of Belarus.

We will tell about the main events in the frameworks of the project of facsimile book heritage of Francysk Skaryna from the star to the end, when the Prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus "For Spiritual Revival", the highest award, was received.

We will remember together the important milestones of the five-year history of the international project: Belarusian Written Language Day, XXIV Minsk International Book Fair, Book Heritage of Francysk Skaryna in Belarus, an educational project for children On a visit to books, presentation of the Book Heritage of Francysk Skaryna in the UN, Vatican and around the world, the international congress 500 years of Belarusian book-printing, the international exhibition Francysk Skaryna and his epoch and other significant events.

July 15 marks the 145th anniversary of the birth of Alaiza Pashkievich (Ciotka), a famous Belarusian writer, author of poetry, prose and publicistic writing, the founder of children's didactic literature in Belarus, as well as a public figure who made a significant contribution to the development and popularization of the Belarusian culture, language, and understanding national identity. Many of her words still touch the heart and remain relevant today, and her works are immortal classics.
