On September 19 a number of events were held at the National Library of Belarus in the framework of the forum "Historical, Cultural and Spiritual Community of the Russian and Belarusian Peoples" dedicated to the days of Russian spiritual culture.
The guests of the library visited the round tables "Dostoevsky as the spiritual symbol of the Russian and Belarusian peoples", "The role of the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky in the history of the formation of the brotherhood of the peoples of Russia and Belarus", "Language is the soul of peoples. The unifying role of literature and theater in cooperation between Russia and Belarus".
The exhibition dedicated to theatrical memory of the people. Belarusian drama: Minsk - Moscow. According to the archives of the RSLA, the "Alexander Nevsky - The Name of Russia" photo exhibition, as well as an exhibition dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Fedor Dostoevsky.
The round table "Dostoevsky as the spiritual symbol of the Russian and Belarusian peoples" was attended by the director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky.
Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Committee on Science, Education and Culture Viktor Smirnov donated to the library a panel with a picture of the building of the Russian Federation Council. Roman Motulsky thanked the senator for the gift and noted that the panel is a valuable contribution to the "diamond of knowledge" collection.
On September 20 a discussion platform "Keeping Common Historical Memory and Spiritual Heritage of Russia and Belarus" took place. Its moderator was Director of the National Library Roman Motulsky.
The event was attended by Deputy Director of the National Library of Belarus, Alexander Susha, head of the Bibliology Research Department Anatoly Steburako, head of Research Department of Library Marina Pshybytko, head of the Restoration and Conservation Department Diana Muratova, head of the Bibliography Research Department Irina Gryadovkina, head of Information and Analytical Department Nina Protko, head of Electronic Library Development Department Victor Pshybytko.
At the plenary session director Roman Motulsky National Library reported on "Keeping of common book heritage of the Belarusian and Russian peoples and the formation of a unified modern information space".
