On January 28, a gathering of young environmental enthusiasts took place at the Museum of Books.

The children learned how to recognize birds and learned that great tits, sparrows, woodpeckers, nuthatches, buntings and jays stay in Belarus for the winter, and the waxwings, redpolls and bullfinches come to us for the winter. It is incorrect to believe that bullfinches and crossbills only spend the winter in Belarus. These birds are resident permanently on our country's land, however during the winter they become more active and thus more noticeable.

The bullfinch is the most attractive winter flower bird, according to attendees of the gathering.

Are you well-versed in winter birds? We encourage you to sign up for the upcoming book-focused class at the Museum of Books.
