Children were invited to visit the Book Museum on a museum class: " The Feast of Christ’ Nativity in Old Printed Publications" on December 17.
One of the most significant Christian holidays, the Nativity of Christ, will soon be observed. The children took a "journey to the past" during the lesson and discovered the biblical account of the birth of the Infant God.
The exquisite engravings in liturgical books depict the Nativity of Christ. The gospels, anthologies, service books, and prayer books from the 17th and 18th centuries contained engravings that young booksellers had the chance to view.
Young readers of the book enjoyed making a picture and a holiday card that reflected the Christmas celebration very much.
Watch for announcements regarding the book museum's next classes.
