The presentation of the projects of the National Library of Belarus took place on February 7, at the 27th Minsk International Book Fair.

Forest Song is an informative and illustrative project. It started to provide an opportunity to touch the history of the Belarusian Partisan Movement through the documents of that time: handwritten materials, leaflets, propaganda posters, newspapers, photographs, plot sketches, excerpts from stories, poems and songs.

The project is an international one. During the year, the exhibition will travel and will be presented in Azerbaijan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey. It will go to Moldova firstly.

The first issue of the Partisan Archive series of multimedia publications will be presented. It is the electronic documentary edition named Operational and Intelligence Reports of the Belarusian Headquarters of the Partisan Movement: 1944. The main events of the military and intelligence activities of the Belarusian partisans are reflected in electronic copies of archival documents. Most of them were published for the first time.

100 Days to the Great Victory. Through the Pages of 1945 Belarusian Newspapers project was presented at the Minsk International Book Fair. The project offers to make a journey along with the National Library of Belarus from January 30 to May 9 and daily get acquainted with the news and events of the winter-spring of 1945.

The presentation was attended by Alexander Susha, Deputy Director General of the National Library of Belarus, Andrei Demianiuk, Director of the National Archive of Belarus, Viktor Sorochan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to the Republic of Belarus, Mikhail Skomoroshchenko, Head of the Publications Department of the National Archives of Belarus, Marina Rudakovskaya, Head of the Corporate Interaction Department of the National Library of Belarus.

"Soldier's Fate": on the 100th anniversary of Vasil Bykov and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the People's writer of Belarus, publicist and screenwriter Vasil Vladimirovich Bykov.
On this occasion, the National Library has prepared an anniversary exhibition "Soldier's fate", which highlights the great influence on the work of the Belarusian writer of his participation in the Great Patriotic War.
