Meetings of the eIFL General Assembly are taking place on June 25 – 28 at the National Library of Belarus.


An official opening ceremony of the eIFL General Assembly took place on 26 June at the conference hall of the National Library of Belarus. Director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky welcomed participants of the event.

Rima Kuprite, Director of the eIFL Consortium, shared the latest news with attendees. Meetings held on the same day gathered 85 representatives of consortiums – members of the eIFL and the major aggregators and suppliers of electronic information resources from 47 countries.

The eIFL Consortium (Electronic Information for Libraries) is an international non-profit organization incorporating library consortiums in more than 45 countries of Central, Eastern and South-East Europe, the former USSR, Africa, the Middle East and South-East Asia. Its major tasks are promotion of knowledge sharing on the global scale, building of continuing education network, and also promotion of national library consortiums.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
