Registration for the 7th International Congress, Library as a Cultural Phenomenon, is now open. It will take place at the National Library of Belarus on October 21-23, 2020.
The study of local lore is the main theme of the next stage of the large-scale scientific event, as it is the main direction of preservation and popularization of the historical and cultural heritage of countries and nations. This is another contribution to the Year of Native Land, a kind of summing up of its results.
The problematic field of congress is characterized by breadth and diversity, and the local history is planned to be considered from a variety of aspects and points of view.
The congress also provides for the holding of the First International Regional Forum of the CIS Countries, Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Regions: Study, Conservation, Promotion.
The congress welcomes specialists from libraries, museums, archives, research organizations, educational institutions, art centers, amateur historians, developers and producers of information representatives of public and cultural organizations of the Belarusians in foreign countries, other interested parties.
