On November 26, the Labyrinth Gallery hosted a lecture-concert "Thousand Faces of Modernity" from the cycle "Walking through the Centuries".
The picture of world music culture becomes increasingly vivid, bright, and diverse as we draw closer to the 21st century. This period of history can rightly be described as the "thousand-faced Janus of Modernity". The organizers and participants of the lecture-concert tried to reveal and show every facet of the shining diamond of the cultural life of the 20th century.
The performance programme included ensemble and solo piano pieces by several national schools and composers. There were performances of Claude Debussy's impressionist pieces, Arnold Schoenberg's expressionist dramas, Bela Bartok's non-folklore compositions, as well as miniatures by Eric Satie, Gabriel Faure, and Sergei Prokofiev.
We invite everyone to the next concert "Towards the 21st century". It will feature the musical culture of the second half of the 20th century, as well as the works of Dmitri Shostakovich, Astor Piazzolla, Ennio Morricone and others. The meeting will take place January 14, 2023 in 3 pm.
