The National library of Belarus held the 5th Joint meeting of the task force on cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and Perm region of the Russian Federation.

The meeting was attended by Valeri Gramada, the first deputy minister of culture of the Republic of Belarus; Alrksei Chibisov, deputy chairman of the government – minister of industry and trade of Perm region; representatives of the ministries of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus and media.

The participants of the meeting have reviewed and discussed the issues of trade and economic relations between our country and Perm region, cooperation in the field of building construction and search of import-substituting goods and equipment, in the field of natural recourses and forest management, as well as raised the issue of establishing twin-city/partner relations between the city of Berezniki of Perm region and Salihorsk district executive committee.

The head of the Russian delegation was handed over a certificate on the gift of collections of the Belarussian publications intended for Perm state awarded with "Badge of Honor" regional universal library named after A.M. Gorky after the meeting had been finished.

The library will get about a hundred native publications, that display more precisely social and economic and political life of the country, its many century history and culture. The collection consists of best literary and art, scientific, popular science editions, encyclopedias, reference books and photo albums.

The event was arranged by the Ministry of culture of the Republic of Belarus and National library of Belarus.

By this date, the National Library of Belarus is replenishing with new materials the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created in 2019.
