On November 25, the National Library of Belarus hosted a learning excursion “The Famous People of the Motherland” for members of the Time to Draw Team, St. Petersburg. The excursion theme was Mark Chagall.

The Time to Draw is a community of artists, illustrators and those who learn to draw. Community members draw, learn to draw others and travel together. As part of the sketch tour to the capital of Belarus, Time to Draw Team visited our “diamond of knowledge”.

The guests got acquainted with the library’s architecture and interior design, visited the observation platform, Book Museum and, of course, made several sketches, presenting the interiors of the library in their notebooks and albums.

A book exhibition and presentation on Marc Chagall’s art was organized in one of the reading rooms. The tourists were able to look through albums with works by the famous artist, immersing themselves in the history of the master's life and the mysterious world of his paintings – and, of course, to draw.

We are very pleased to meet you and hope to see you here again!
