The forum takes place from September 25 to October 8 in Minsk and is dedicated to the celebration of the Day of Cultural Workers, celebrated in Belarus on the second Sunday of October.
On September 28, within the framework of the international action "Days of European Heritage", a thematic event for representatives of district administrations and city services on the preservation of historical and cultural heritage was held on the basis of the Department of Culture of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
Vadim Zaitsev, Head of the Arts Department of the Minsk City Executive Committee's Department of Culture, delivered a welcoming speech.
The participants of the meeting discussed the topics of preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of Minsk in the context of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated 18.10.2007 No. 527 "On some issues of protection of historical and cultural heritage".
Representatives of the Ministry of Culture made reports on problematic issues and innovations in this area: Tatiana Zhuk, Head of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage, Inga Timofeeva, Deputy Head of the Department for the Organization of Scientific, Design and Methodological Support.
Ekaterina Mitkovets, Head of the Department of Architecture and Organization of Design Works, Landscaping, Advertising and Urban Design of the Committee of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Minsk City Executive Committee, spoke about the problems that arise during repair and restoration and other works on objects of historical and cultural heritage, placement and approval of outdoor advertising on buildings that are of historical and cultural value.
The topic of maintaining and filling the state information resource "Bank of Information on the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Belarus" was relevant.
The event was attended by the employees of the information and analytical Department of the National Library of Belarus. The representatives of the sector of the formation of the Bank of Information about Historical and Cultural Heritage Inna Vishnevskaya and Tatiana Vitkovskaya made a report and shared their experience in filling the resource.
The Forum promoted closer cooperation of all interested parties in preserving and popularizing the historical and cultural heritage of Belarus.
