On November 17-21, 2008, in Zvenigorod (Russia) took place the 12th International conference and exhibition “Information technologies, computer systems, and publications for libraries”.




At the conference I.I. Vasilyonok, the expert of National Library of Belarus read a paper on the issues of the use of the Library’s electronic resources.

Participants of the conference visited the biggest libraries of the Russian Federation: Russian State Library, State Public Scientific and Technical Library, M.I. Rudomino Russian State Library of Foreign Literature.

Three CD-ROMs developed by State Public Scientific and Technical Library and dedicated to Russian scientists N.E. Zhukovsky, K.E. Tsiolkovsky, and F.A.Tsadner were handed to National Library of Belarus.

The form of the rhombic dodecahedron, invented by Leonardo Da Vinci, is complex and at the same time spectacular, therefore it is not surprising that the Library, “diamond of knowledge”, was included in the rating of 100 architectural masterpieces of the world.
