The electronic collection "Fashion and Time" was enlarged with more than 100 photographs of 1920s–1930s from the rare book of the National Library of Belarus.
The national library offers to go to the fashionable past. Beauties in the evening dresses, created by the hands of famous designers of that time: Jean Dessès, Jeanne Lanvin, Edward Molineux and others, look at us from almost hundred-year-old photos.
The collection includes:
- elegant coats, jackets, costumes with many decorative details;
- casual and evening dresses, made of soft thin fabrics, creating the image of a woman truly royal;
- multifunctional clothes for sports and travel: suits for tennis, golf, and skiing, beach sets, capes, pareos, wide hats, separate swimsuits;
- beautiful light sleepwear, subtle and delicate, seductive and richly decorated with feathers and lace;
- accessories and hats decorated with brooches and pins.
The virtual exhibition "Incarnate Elegance" in the collection offers to plunge into the atmosphere of femininity, romanticism and restraint inherent in the fashion of that period.
