On April 20th, at 5 p.m., the opening ceremony of the ІІІ International graphic exhibition “Art-Line” takes place at the gallery “Rakurs” of the National Library of Belarus.


Such an event is taken place in Belarus for the third time.

Artists from Spain, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Slovenia will present more than 160 drawings.

Within the framework of the exhibition a contest will be held. Its results will be reviewed by an authoritative international jury. This time, Felix Koral (Slovenia) will be the guest of honor.

For the first time, the Minsk international graphic exhibition “Art-Line” will include a retro program – demonstration of lithographs by English graphic artists and architect Joseph Nash показ (1809–1878), who is known all over Europe for his architectural landscapes and genre scenes.  The exposition which comprises 42 works by the famous master of the XIX century is the first presentation of the collection of drawings of the National Library of Belarus.  

The exhibition will be open in the galleries “Rakurs”, “Labyrinth” and “Atrium” till June 11th, 2010.

Students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National library

On April 18, the students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National Library of Belarus as part of the environmental education and upbringing program. They got acquainted with the thematic book exhibition "Water is a wonderful gift of Nature" dedicated to World Water Day. The exposition is presented in the documents of international organizations reading room (room 207 g).

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
