When searching for information on the Internet, most people use popular search engines. When writing scientific papers, this is often not enough.
Many authentic information resources are presented in the public domain: search engines for scientific information, databases, link navigators, archived journals, specialized sites, repositories, etc, which allow you to find the necessary information (including the full text) that doesn’t appear in the search results. The National Library’s free classes will introduce you to search resources and search algorithms for scientific information on the Internet.
On November 19, the library’s Reference and Information Service Department held a workshop for first-year students of the Belarusian State Economic University. The economists to be familiarized themselves with search resources and consolidated the acquired knowledge in practice.
During the workshop, the students also got acquainted with the licensed electronic resources on economics, available in the library.
Free classes are conducted in both the National Library and educational institutions.
