The National Library of Belarus celebrated its 100th anniversary with a creative event for young book lovers, organised by the Main Book Treasury and the Museum of the Book.
The guests made a trip to the most interesting and beautiful corners of the library, met General reading room; Manuscripts, rare publications and early printed books reading room, as well a jubilee exhibition project “BiblioKOMPAS. Navigation of the gifts to the library”.
The visitors saw the most fascinating and lovely areas of the library, including the General reading room, the reading room for Manuscripts, rare books, and early printed books, as well as the Jubilee Exhibition Project "BiblioKOMPAS. Navigation of the Gifts to the Library."
The Museum of the Book featured facsimile reproductions of all the books published by the first publisher, Francysk Skaryna, including the Psalter (1517), a jubilee printing of 2022, and "Small traveler's book" (about 1522), as well as an introduction to the materials and shapes of books.
The event was put together by a creative class where the kids encountered a flip book creation tool.
