On 12 September, festive events to Libraries Day will be held at the National Library of Belarus.
At 11 a.m., a press conference timed to this date will be held in the Educational Hall of the National Library of Belarus.
The beginning of celebrations will start in the square in front of the National Library of Belarus, near F. Skorina monument, at noon.
The opening of the 2nd Republican exhibition of arts among librarians "The Artist to Oneself" is timed to the Library Day. 90 works in different techniques made by Belarusian talented and creative librarians are expected to be exhibited at the exposition. Its grand opening will be held at the gallery Rakurs at 1 p.m. The exposition will be open till 20 October, 2013.
On the occasion of the festive date the Book Museum of the National Library of Belarus will display the exhibition "The library in time and space" which the main exhibits are engravings in the incunabula of the 15–17th centuries. It is possible to visit the exhibition from 15 September to 15 October.
A book exhibition "Temples of time, memory, thought" organized, especially, to Libraries Day in the circular corridor on the second floor of the National Library of Belarus will run until 30 September.
