Facsimile classes were held at the Book Museum on January 30. Can copies of book monuments arouse interest? You bet! Creating a facsimile is an art and a skill!

Facsimile is a copy of a book monument, made as close to the original as possible. It can be its "twin" and accurately repeat the original in size, texture, color, creation technique, or give an idea of the original object, though on a different scale or other technique. Facsimile editions are often created in a limited edition and belong to bibliographic rarities.

Young researchers saw and flipped through many Belarusian and foreign facsimile publications and came to the conclusion that it's very hard to tell a copy from the original apart.

The participants tried to create a copy of a page from the Gutenberg Bible.
