The exhibition "From those Early Days to the Present Time", dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus, was open on April 19.

The exposition represents a real theater chronicle about how the opera and ballet stars were lit on the Bolshoi stage, how the theater taught the viewer to reflect and appreciate life in different times, even the most complex and tragic, how it preserved the best traditions of high art, moved towards new experiments and loud premieres.

The 85-years-long creative life of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus is reflected in the posters of different times, musical scores, on the pages of the "Parterre" magazine. There are not only about history, but first of all about work of talented and dedicated to high art masters.

Roman Motulsky, director of the National Library of Belarus, congratulated the theater staff on this significant anniversary.

The exposition opening was attended by Vladimir Gridushko, the Director General of the Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of the Republic of Belarus; Yuri Troyan, Artistic Director of the Bolshoi Theater; Nina Kozlova, Company Director of the Bolshoi Theater; Tatyana Aleksandrova, Head of the marketing, information and advertising service of the Bolshoi Theater; Vladimir Drazhin, theater amateur, Deputy Premier Minister of the Republic of Belarus in 2001-2005, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Lithuania and the Republic of Finland in 2006-2014.

The performance by Marina Likhosherst and Andrey Klypo, outstanding soloists of the Bolshoi Theater, laureates of international competitions, with musical accompaniment by Irina Telepneva, concertmaster, winner of international competitions and festivals, became the highlight of the evening.

The exposition will be open in the "Labyrinth" gallery (3rd floor) until June 20, 2018.

The 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War are among the main events of 2024 and 2025. Numerous patriotic and cultural and educational events, scientific conferences, exhibitions, publishing projects, electronic resources and much more will be dedicated to these anniversaries for two years.
