On 16 June, the National Library hosted a seminar “EBSCO e-resources for libraries and universities“.
The company EBSCO Information Services is one of the leading providers of scientific information resources (e-books, patents and search services) on medicine, natural and exact sciences and humanities.
The seminar was opened by the Director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky and held by the Deputy Director for information resources Tatiana Kuzminich.
The Director of regional development in Russia, Belarus and Moldova Andrei Sokolov presented the multidisciplinary and thematic full text journal databases Academic Search Ultimate, Business Source Ultimate, Sociology Source Ultimate, Humanities Source Ultimate, the patent database Global Patents, and also а survey of new functional opportunities of EBSCO Discovery Service.
The trainer and Technical Specialist to work with EBSCO customers in Russia and the CIS member countries Tamila Mirkamalova held a training “EBSCOHost, the search navigation. Practical search examples, full text editing and a personal cabinet”.
The seminar was attended by heads and specialists of libraries, researchers, university professors and users of information resources.
