The Belarusian Trade Union of Workers of Local Industry and Public Utilities donated books to the National Library of Belarus on December 8 in a solemn event.
More than 100 books can be found in the library's collection, which also includes professional literature in the fields of industry and public utilities, books that examine the architecture of industrial and civil structures as well as the environment, reference works and encyclopaedias that chart the evolution of the trade union movement in Belarus over time, and more. Presenting materials from Belarusian municipal production companies.
The event was attended by: Andrey Khmel, the Minister of Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Belarus; Yuri Dorogokupets, Chairman of the Belarusian Trade Union of Workers of Local Industry and Public Utilities; Viktar Pshybytka, Deputy Director General of the National Library of Belarus; media representatives, library staff.
The ceremony was held within the framework of the project "Chronicle of Labor Glory and Trade Union Traditions", dedicated to the Year of Historical Memory.
